About two months ago I was dignosed with a Urinary tract Infection after being misdiagnosed with appendicitis and incurring over 5000 dollars in medical costs that I have no hope of paying. I have insurance but my deductible is 1500 dollars and my copays are exorbitant. I barely get enough hours to qualify for insurance at my job and now the Urinary tract infection is back worse than before. I wake up in agony from my bladder hurting so bad but I don't have any money to cover my copays there is literally 5.00 dollars in my checking account that has to last me until next Tuesday. I thought about calling planned parenthood to see if I could see someone there but I am afraid they will turn me away since I have insurance. I feel bad because I am lucky to have insurance at all but I still can't afford to go to the doctor. It's really embarrassing and I don't know what to do. Does anybody have any advice?Isn't it fraud to say you don't have health insurance when you do?

I live in Illinois. My governor Pat Quinn is cutting funding to mental health services. I want to write a letter to protest. . Can you help me brainstorm some good reasons why these cuts will cause more harm than good? I want the letter to be very persuasive. I really would like hard statistics. I think giving people proper treatment might save money in other areas such as unnecessary hospitalizations and incarceration, homelessness, etc. However I am looking for real statistics to back up my claims.
