Children's mental health pros please help?
I have a generl question. All things being somewhat even in the homes, is it worse to uproot a child from there home or have them think their mother gave them up. Here is a brief description of the situation The children have been at their current homes two separate homes for a little over four years. One from age 2 6 and the other age 4 8There was never abuse from any party, including the mother. This was a decision the mother made 4 years ago. The children are not adopted, the mother still has her parental rights n the father passed away 6 years ago.The mother has seen the eldest about 2 3 times a year since and had phone contact and the youngest a little less.The children would be moving about five hours away, but be in the same state.All parties have decent homes as well as drugs n alcohol abuse are not issues in any home. The mother and her boyfriend both work full time and can provide financially for the children.The eldest has been at the same school for almost two years and is involved in tutoring and exta help programs, though he is not mentally disabled or anything like that, he just has a diffcult time with school and authority. His grades are good.The children would be equally loved by all three homes as the people who currently have them love the children as much as the mother and have known them their whole lives.So professionals, please answer these three questions.1. From your experience which would be more damaging, leaving them in their current homes or wondering why they are not with their mother when she is able to provide for them? 2.Also, would this answer change if the mother was to have a baby in the future?3. Please list your profession or experience with childrenChildren NOT in foster care. Children live near each other.Mom just thought it was best easier at time for someone else to care for kids. They were not taken away.

Ok , i have really painful lymph node on the left side just below my groin area, later that same day i got the feeling i was coming down with flu, aching and sudden shooting pains in my limbs and joints ect, and a really throbbing head neck pain and stiffness, like from the back of my neck going upwards. I still have this headache, it has been coming and going over the past two days, tonight i can feel tingling in my left knee, i feel as tho it might be swelling up not sure if its connected . I feel really tired like i havent got the energy to really be bothered doing anything. I have pcos, just thought it was worth mentioning, i pee alot thru the night since i had a really painful kidney infection last year. I had some pain in the opposite side of my groin a cpl of months ago too, but at that time i didnt realise we had lymph nodes there lol. Any help, advice or some ideas of wat might be causing this would be really appreciated, i intend on goin to the docs, but i cant stop thinking about it and i like to do a bit of reasearch before i go , thanx in advance

ok, so i know all drugs are bad etc etc. but hey ho, we're all grown ups right? well i thought so until my unfortunate incident the other night and have decided i am in fact an infantile idiot.anyways, a friend had some charlie and i didnt want to put it up my nose as in the past this has wrecked my sinuses, so they suggested to take it under the tongue. they said to rinse my mouth with baking soda first and the hit would be mega, due to the chemical reaction of the coke and baking soda, kinda crack vibe. see what i mean about being infantile .long story short, after 6 lines, i was soooooo ill the next day and under my tongue around the frenulum it looks really badly burnt ? i think thats what it is, or i have given myself mouth cancer overnight just wandering if this has happened to anyone else and if it took long to heal and if theres anything to worry about. i thought id grown out of this stuff 10yrs ago sometimes we have to learn the hard way thanks for your help.

Im so sleepy this morning, because of my dream that seemed to last all night long.My bf and I truly do love each other, but we're going thru a major problem right now.. not anything stupid like cheating or lying, but a real life obstacle and we're really trying to stick together, work together, and overcome it. we had a tough, emotional night last night and this was my dream I dreamt that he and i were flying someplace. we got to the airport and got all the way on the plane when i remembered we hadnt checked in. So we had to get off the plane before take off to go check in. we didnt make it back in time and missed our flight. i called the airline to try to get them to rebook our flight... i didnt sleep long enough to see if we really were able to rebook our flight and reach our destination, so i dont know what happens. i remember the airline lady on the phone being sympathetic and saying " lets see what we can do." but then thats it, i woke up. and its been on my mind all morning.What do u think it meant?

I was diagnosed not that long ago with bipolar. I have not been back nor am I on any medication. I missed some apps and was not given another and to be honest, I feel the side effects of most of the medications are just as bad as the bipolar effects. However, I have over the last 6 months or so been getting worse and worse episodes of rage where I feel as if I am literally possessed, such is the extreme of the self hate and anger and the result I beat myself all over endlessly, throw things, break things, scream ,shriek, sob and feel totally out of control Is this common in bipolar or is something else at play here? I have hypothyroidism and don't know if a drop in levels can cause issues
Can any mental health pros say if this makes sense psychologically?
I think that I've had a grandiose delusion for a while now the belief that I'm the Messiah. It's a belief that I usually keep hidden, and go about my daily life like a normal person, but it's still there.The " proof" for me that this belief is true is that I look at events in my past and see them as " signs" from the Almighty. For example, one time some random person at a meal said the word " Messiah" and nodded toward me.Are these " signs" called ideas of reference? Have you ever heard of someone having a grandiose delusion that they back up by these ideas of reference?Thanks for your help
Calling all health pros re: venipuncture?
Why is it that some pro's dig and dig in your arm trying to hit a vein in order to draw blood while there are some few that save you all that discomfort and use a " butterfly" and get what they need from your hand? Blood is blood, is it not?

Any health pros out there? My Mom passed away in March due to neglegence at the nursing home.?
She had pneumonia, a severe uti, and her blood was beyond too thin. They didn't give her the antibiotics that were prescribed by the doctor. Anyhow, she was on blood thinners due to having had 4 strokes in the past. However, she wasn't eating that last week and they gave her an I.V. Does that have any affect on the blood thinner or were they giving her too much blood thinnner and not checking it? When she got to the hospital the doctor said she may have bled to death from just a scratch. Her blood was something like 8 times as thin as normal.Does anyone have any information on this?Thanks

I've had a headache for 3 and a half weeks. It started off very severe in one specific part of my head and has since varied from a dull ache all over to very acute pain that makes me wince. My neck is very stiff and I've got no energy to do anything I literally wake up, go to work and come home to go back to bed. My attention span is very short and I'm so irritable that I'm annoying myself. I've had an MRI that showed nothing, had my blood tested for " anything" and been tested for Lyme Disease but told I do not have it. The only thing I was told is that my rheomatology was high a ratio of 1 320 vs. the normal 1 40 . No one knows what's wrong with me, and yet this headache won't go away. I've been told my next step is to see a neurologist, but I'm wondering if anyone has any insight. Thank you.By the way, I'm a 24 year old female with no history of headaches in my family ... and I've never had migraines or anything.
