When will I stop bleeding? (Please someone who knows health & medicine)?
I have been on birth control since I was 16 years old. About 10 years Had dysplacia in 2001 Jun.2006 I got married & Oct.2006 we decided we wanted to 'let it happen' so I stopped taking the pill. I had been having some minor problems like blood clots during menstration but nothing serious no pain or irregularities. In March I completely missed my period & was excited my period did come however 49 days late. The good Dr. says it looked like a pregnancy that 'didn't take' meaning it didn't attach to the uterus wall. But ever since the starting of May I have been bleeding. And I am tired My good Dr. has tested my thyroid, glucose etc. & it's come up as everything is fine. I had blood taken 2 weeks ago & my arm is still bruised & very sore. Everything seems to be taking a long time to heal now. I teach a prenatal class & it's difficult for me to not cry when I hold babies now. It's affecting my job performance & I might end up having to go on sick leave...any advice?

Why haven't there been any major breakthroughs in health/medicine this decade?
In the 90s everything was about hope and advancement betterment, etc.In the 00s....it's been the same old. What's going on?I remember in the 90s people counted by the YEAR, for new breakthroughs, hiv cures, cancer cures, all sorts of things.Now....it's like...all hope is abandoned, and people expect it to be sometime in the FAR FAR future. What's been taking so long? Not only hiv cancer, but other things too like respiratory illnesses, etc.It seems like medical advancement has " stalled."
If you know anything about health/medicine, help please?
my friend is a 14 year old girl, and 2 years ago she started taking medication to help her sleep. her doctor put her on MAO inhibitors accidentally. she has taken them for 2 years and she has problems with passing out and weight loss...she went to her doctor and they told her that she is dying. they told her that if she keeps taking them she could die, and if she stops she will die. i just would like to know how much a chance she has if they slowly take her off it... and if i should be as scared as i am to lose her.
