I needed a test done for pain, my doctor's office took over two weeks to schedule the appointment. I called my Health insurance to ask why it taking them so long to approve my test, my health ins explained that the doctor's office didn't send the information in, and the doctor has to call it in. So I contacted my doctors office and my health ins and Conference the call, the test was schedule, My doctors office sends a letter to cancel services. Can this be done because you contact your health ins and the doctor's upset and the office took over time to call in the appointment for the test.The Doctor requested the MRI and the doctor's office request me to call the MRI

I'm a full time student but I need to drop a class so I would have 9 units. I am under my father's health insurance and my mother's and stepfather's vision and dental insurance. I'm 18 and this would only be for one semester. Would I still be ok under my parent's insurance or should I keep the class I really don't need?

I recently retired from a 27 year management and educator career in hospital and primary health care facilities. Providers literally fight many patients to manage their health more effectively, e.g. patients with diabetes, COPD, who are obese, smoke, etc. With estimates that 80 % of health care costs could be avoided or mitigated if people made more responsible decisions about their own health care management, why are some requirements along these lines not considered in design planning for subsidized health care. Universal healthcare is always spoken of as a " right," but my understanding is that most rights carry concomitant responsibilities. I resent paying higher health care premiums to subsidize the irresponsible personal health decisions of others. I suspect that part of the reason government legislators don't step up and confront this reality is that it's obviously not politically expedient to tell obese smokers that they need to change their habits or they will share a greater responsibility for covering their own health care costs after all, these people do vote.

Does a nutritionist count as a family doctor/health care provider?
I don't agree with some not all MDs pushing meds or pills and would prefer the idea of having someone for my family and future kids who will use alternative approaches first. So I'm in real need of some physiological help, having horrible suicidal thoughts and so on, I'm a 19 year old male suffering from Depression. Both of my parents are deceased and I'm currently unemployed partly due to my depression. I have tried and tried to get a job, every day I search for one, I applied for at least 20 jobs, nothing yet.
