Why did the anesthesiologist ask me about my dental health?
i am going to have an epidural when giving birth in march. i am wondering why the anesthesiologist asked me about my dental health when i signed up for it today.

What will happen to this person's dental health?
They're only 12 and they take a lot of sugary food and drink.Their teeth are already sensitive to cold drinks. The person is almost bucktoothed.Help What can this person do to improve their dental health before it's too late?

What MORE should I do to improve my dental health?
All my life, I've battled receeding gum lines. Oh, yes during rare cases, immediately after a thorough dental cleaning, my gums did " look" healthy, soft and pink. The roots of my teeth now being clearly visible and with the cold season soon upcoming, I'm taking any measure to help protect my teeth. In addition to softly massaging I do brush AWAY from my gum lines my gums, thoroughly flossing in between my teeth, scraping my tongue after each brushing, and softly massaging my lips, what am I neglecting to do? %My dentist is at his wits end as am I.Thanks for possibilities.

Is it a good idea to avoid sugar as much as possible for dental health?
sugar tastes good, but it is bad for the teeth. but food without sugar may not taste so good, what should i do?what if i rinse my mouth with water right after i eat sugary food, will that help? or should i try to avoid sugar as much as possible?

Do Americans understand the difference between dental health and cosmetics?
They seem to think that crooked teeth equals unhealthy. Americans think Europeans have worse teeth because there are more of us with a few crooked teeth. No that is not the case we have great dental care we just don't see the need for going into debt to give our kids a cosmetic procedure. You can have healthy crooked teeth as long as the bite is ok and you can have perfect straight teeth full of cavities. They also think all that whitening means healthy teeth when yellow teeth are probably more healthy because they haven't had all the enamel stripped off with bleach. It's fine if you want to get cosmetic dentistry, but I think you should stop looking down on people with crooked teeth and thinking their teeth are less healthy because that is not the case.

Tooth filling/dental health question?
Tooth filling dental health question?I have not cared about dental health my whole life. I've went to the dentist about 10 or so times around 1 to 2 years ago, and my teeth are horrible. I wish I would've taken care of my teeth, but my dad's teeth are horrendous and I took that from him. I have cavities galore in my mouth sorry if I'm grossing anyone out , but I want to turn it around. I plan on brushing my teeth 2 times a day, flossing once, and using mouthwash once a day also. any suggestions for me to do something different? also I want to know how long and how much it would cost to fix cavities in about 10 15 teeth most front with about half of two of my front teeth decayed. Please Help

Can you get a free dental health check up on the NHS?
Hi I have an EXTREME phobia of the dentist, so I have avoided going for about 4 years now. I used to pay dental plan which is fine because it's pay monthly, but because I haven't been for a while I will have to pay upfront for a check up and a new patient examination and including all the X rays it will be really really expensive. Can you get a check up for free at an NHS clinic? I heard you can but don't know how to go about it?Thanks

How to improve dental health?
I brush and floss my teeth two times every day. I recently visited the dentist and they told me many of my teeth were showing decay and that I need to brush better. I know I am brushing and flossing correctly, but what more can I do?

How is the Waterpik for dental health?
I use it twice a day. Isn't there evidence that plaque sitting on your teeth at the gums can cause systemic disease, not just gum disease?

I still have problems with my dental health?
I brush, floss and rinse mouth with mouth rinse regularly. At least 2 times a day if i'm out for the day, 3 times a day if i stay home for the day. I still seem to have dental health concerns. Only today, after seeing a dentist 10 months ago, i realized my central incisor, which was previously filled with dental fillings from behind of the tooth, has a very very small tiny crack near the side of it. It is so small i only realized it today. Why do i seem to still have dental problems despite brushing, flossing and rinsing my mouth regularly after meals? Is there a possibility that i'm born to have weak teeth? And calcium intake? Should i be taking them lots? And enamel? Is there any products related to that? HELP T.T

How does daily gum chewing effect my dental health?
I chew gum everyday, at first I just liked to have minty breath all the time and something sweet to keep me up during class but now its an oral fixation and it feels weird when im outside and my mouth is just idle, I feel like I need to be chewing something. Ive been chewing speriment and doubblement almost daily for years. I recently had two cavities filled. Is the gum causing it? can it be the gum causing my teeth to get crooked? how do I control this, sugarless gum perhaps? Any suggestions are helpful

Tooth extracted, dental health can salvage?
i just had a tooth extracted because the root canal didn't take, i've already had one root canal and i've got a whole bunch of fillings, feeling kinda depressed & my dentist is incredibly not nice with words and makes it seem like i have no hope, and i'm trying, brushing, flossing, act mouthwash everyday i never flossed before i'm going to start rinsing with hydrogen peroxide next, and add baking soda.i'm wondering if i continue this forever, will my teeth be okay? is it completely hopeless like he says, area bunch of fillings really that awful and un salvagable?
